January Vogue + NYE Cupcakes

Happy New Year!

2012 flew by and what an amazing year it was.  I’m so excited for this new year and can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for me!

I decided I really like my monthly Vogue posts, so I’m going to keep doing them this year 🙂 below are a few of my favorite photos from this month’s issue:

rcI stopped at this photo because I love a great pant suit for women, and this floral Cavalli number is stunning! the floral print and the colors are beautiful and feminine, and the pant and blazer can be worn separately to make a variety of outfits.  And then the bag…oh my! every girl would want that bag!

printsModels Edie Campbell and Karlie Kloss show a dramatic and fun way to layer on different patterns and textures.  This year, be daring and use these looks as inspiration to show visual interest!

gsI had to post this photo because I’m a huge fan of Gwen Stefani…I was 9 when I first heard her sing “Don’t Speak” with No Doubt.  Years later, she’s as talented and stylish as ever before, and in this photo looks incredible in Saint Laurent.

dgAs always, I have to feature the Last Look…these beautiful bejeweled D&G heels are super elegant and vibrant.  I love that the heel is short so that if you’re not comfortable in high heels, you can wear these and love them!

And as for cupcakes, I didn’t bake any NYE cupcakes as it was hard enough finding people to eat a dozen Christmas ones ;p So I wanted to feature these amazing New Year’s Eve Ball Drop Cupcakes I found a while back on Confessions of a Cookbook Queen:

Ball Drop

Don’t they look absolutely delicious? I’m definitely going to use them as inspiration for next year and bake some Ball Drop cupcakes of my own.  The Balls are made with gumballs, and I’m thinking I would experiment with using Ferrero Rocher chocolates 🙂

I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and successful year ahead!
