Spring Tasting at Serrano

News: I’m excited to share that I’m expanding the cupcake portion of my blog to include all dessert! Those that know me well know how much I love dessert, and I decided to share them with you all as I try all the dessert out there…so be on the lookout for some very sweet posts 🙂

So this week I actually had the honor of being invited to a Spring Menu tasting at Serrano, a beautiful and amazing restaurant in Philadelphia.  Executive Chef Gina Rodriguez created a delicious menu that was enjoyed by some of Philly’s finest, and I was very excited to have been there. I wanted to share my experience with you all:

IMG_4572For the 2nd course, we had a choice between three entrees, and I got the Jumbo Scallops (I love seafood), with mushroom, sausage, and fingerling potatoes in Arbol Chili Gastrique  IMG_4574And my favorite part, dessert! This was a nectarine tart with house made vanilla ice cream on top.  It was so incredibly delicious!

I had such a fantastic time at this event, and got to meet some amazing people as well. I will be sure to go there again, and highly recommend it! For more photos and menu details, please check out my post in Brandywine and Broad, a blog I co-write.
